Diamond Collagen is a treasure trove of transdermal peptides with a molecular weight below 500 Da (daltons) and a known amino acid composition, isolated from the native form of collagen. To the best of our knowledge, it is currently the only product worldwide containing a composition of as many as 151 collagen peptides with the lowest molecular weight among all compounds of this type used in cosmetics. These peptides are the dominant component of the protein fraction of Diamond Collagen – accounting for as much as 90% of its content; the remaining 10% consists of the well-known COLWAY collagen in its native triple-helix form. 

The low molecular weight of the peptides translates into Diamond Collagen's impressive ability to penetrate the stratum corneum and effectively stimulate fibroblasts to revitalize the skin in the full physiological sense of this process – associated with increased synthesis of extracellular matrix proteins, namely collagen and elastin, as well as stimulation of hyaluronic acid production. The addition of collagen in the triple-helix form enhances this process and provides a lifting effect on the skin. 

Enrichment of the formula with sodium hyaluronate – the physiological form of hyaluronic acid found in the skin – noticeably improves hydration of the dermal layer and supports fibroblast activation, further enhancing skin revitalization and increasing the intensity of the rejuvenating effect. 

Since the peptide fraction maintains the stability of its form and properties at physiological temperatures, i.e. approximately 37ºC and slightly above, Diamond Collagen does not require refrigerated storage. The Diamond Collagen formula is based on a breakthrough discovery by Polish biochemists collaborating with COLWAY, involving the isolation of a fraction of collagen peptides with a molecular weight below 500 Da (daltons) from the native form of fish collagen.

They have been stabilized to preserve the durability of their form, composition and properties under thermal conditions corresponding to the physiology of the human body. Diamond Collagen contains as many as 151 stable, smallest-known collagen peptides, making our cosmetic product unique on a global scale. According to the “500 Da Rule”, only peptides of this size can freely penetrate the stratum corneum of the epidermis – which is impermeable to particles with a higher molecular weight. This allows the peptides to reach the deeper layers of the dermis – all the way to the level of the fibroblasts – and consequently stimulate these cells to synthesize collagen and elastin, as well as hyaluronic acid, which occurs in the skin in the form of sodium hyaluronate. The addition of collagen in the triple-helix form enriches the amino acid pool of the cosmetic product and provides the skin with an immediate lifting effect after application. 

To support proper skin hydration and the action of the peptide-collagen fraction, the Diamond Collagen formula has been enriched with sodium hyaluronate. The short list of ingredients is completed by components that maintain the appropriate pH of the product and the stability of the peptides.
